In addition to what Wendy mentioned here, can you also confirm that you're working from your local hard drive and that you're using a supported audio file format (AAC, AIF, AIFF, M4A, MP3, OGG, WAV, WMA)?
another problem related to this. While previewing the layer content, I
tried to move the slider and I could see the closed caption text of the
base layer also.
What do I need to do to prevent the base layer content from being visible.
to hide all base layer objects access the cog wheel for the layer properties and select the option
to hide one or more objects, access the layer timeline, the triangle to show all base layer objects then select the 'eye' icon which will show hide base layer objects on the layer.

Hi Chetana
you mean you are trying to preview and the playhead doesn't move? Perhaps if you can give more information.
What version of SL are you using? If you can share the file that would be helpful.
Hello Chetana!
In addition to what Wendy mentioned here, can you also confirm that you're working from your local hard drive and that you're using a supported audio file format (AAC, AIF, AIFF, M4A, MP3, OGG, WAV, WMA)?
Yes, I am working on my local machine and the audio format is .mp3.

Hi Chetwana
to hide all base layer objects access the cog wheel for the layer properties and select the option

Thanks for the quick response. I had already done this. I had to pause the
timeline of the base layer. Then the problem got solved.

Chetana
