Please help with states-project due tomorrow

Jul 16, 2015

I have added a visited state for a box to change color once the person has clicked on it, but for some reason, it keeps showing up on the next layer that box has triggered to go to. How can I keep that box on the base slide and not appear on the next layer? Note: the box has already been checked to hide the base layer. For some reason it shows up as part of the new layer and I can't find it to get rid of it. I have attached a picture of it to show what I'm talking about.

Your help is appreciated as this project is due for a client tomorrow.

Hi, Amanda -- Sorry to hear you are under a time crunch! To start, do you have "hide items on base layer" checked in the layer properties? Please also make sure there is not a duplicate item on the layer. You are welcome to share your .story file here in the thread by clicking on the ADD ATTACHMENT button in the bottom left corner. I am not sure what time zone you are in, but that would be helpful so that others are able to take a look and make suggestions.

Other things to consider or confirm: Please make sure you are working locally as described here, and you may want to try importing the file into a new file. If you are still having issues, you might want to try to repair Storyline. Also, could you please ensure that you are utilizing the most recent SL2 Update? Info on Update 5 can be found here
