png and jpg all disappeared!

Hi. I hope you can help; otherwise, I have lost a lot of work. All of a sudden without warning, Storyline crashed. It has crashed before but never with the ghastly result you see in the picture below. As you can see, the character shows up in the thumbnail screen in the left column, but it does not show up in the work area or in preview or when published. The outline where the character should be is present but not the character. This same situation is true for all the photos I inserted today. Oddly enough, even the photos that were saved in the file did not reappear.
I reinstalled Storyline, but that did not work. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Melissa

I had this happen to me once with images.
The only solution I found was to Right Click>Change Picture to the original picture I had.

Possibly try importing a few of the corrupt slides into a new project to see if that works?

Sorry to hear about the lost images, and I'd agree with Steve that you'd want to try importing a few slides into a new project to see if that resolves the image issue. It's also important to remember that you want to work with all local project files as described here.
Please let us know if you're still experiencing some issues after confirming you're working with local project files and trying the import.

Are you using Storyline version 1 or Storyline version 2? Have you already looked into the trouble shooting steps I mentioned above in terms of working locally, project file names/paths, and conducting the repair?
