Points for going through particular part of training
Mar 19, 2019
Hi there, I am Nutsa! I'm a complete novice in E-learning world. Just started my first e-learning course in compliance. I try to make an interactive course to keep learners engaged. In order to get my learners sense of accomplishment and get them motivation, decided to award them with points and badges. So for example, there are 6 parts in a course, when they go through one, they get particular amount of point (80 points), at the end of the course they get points matching badge. That way learners will get sense of accomplishment and they will be made to complete all parts of the course.
So my question, is that awarding method well experienced in e-learning industry? Should I let learners decide which part to cover or not?
Thank you in advance!

Hi Nutsa, and welcome to the E-Learning Heroes community! We're glad you're here. 😀
Using a badge or "game-like" set up is a common within e-learning, and we have a lot of helpful examples and ideas to get you started:
I hope that helps, and if you create something you'd like to share in the community, please do so! We love to see and highlight new examples.
Ashley, Thank you very much for your immediate response and recommendation.
I found them really helpful. Once I am done with my project I will share some parts of it :)
