I'm using storyline and using some MP3 as voice over from some characters. I've imported using a quality lavalier and when I listen to the recording in VLC it is loud and clear. After the import though the volume is right down and there is a range of odd bleeps and fuzzy sounds that have popped in.
Make sure that you import everything from the local disc and not from a usb or something like that. If I were you I would try to save everything on the the local disc and then start over again.
