Position Elements on the page using X, Y position

If this questions has been answer, please point me in the the right direction.

When I insert a shape (box) element, I'm noticing its hard to position the shape on certain X, Y position. It will be off by a few pixel. I want to know if there is a way to place a shape in an absolute position on the page using X,Y coordinates. Is there a properties panel to place the shape  where I won't on the X,Y coordinates of the page?
