I'm just getting started in AS and I'm struggling with a software simulation I'm building.
The software I'm simulating has context sensitive right click menus in many of its screens. I'm trying to simulate that by having the right click menu (currently just another layer) show up on right click, but I can't figure out how to make it appear at the cursor position. Is such a thing even possible?
Hi Eric, I'm fairly certain that this cannot be done. There aren't any configuration options to open a layer or show an element at a particular mouse position. I think you would need to look toward a JavaScript solution for that.

If you know what menu is going to show, you should know where the user is going to click to get it. Create the layer accordingly.
In the sample, right-click on any circle for a context sensitive menu.
