PowerPoint installed at the right place?

Hi, 

I just got the trial version to work an a Mac with parallels. So far it has worked beautifully with the existing templates. 

Now, I tried to import a .pptx file, but import was denied. 

Several reasons are suggested, but I need advice which one is most likely: 

- Password - No, I tried several different files. 

- Version too old?

- PowerPoint needs to be installed on the Windows side?

PowerPoint 12.3.3 is installed on the Mac side, not in a Windows version

Any ideas?  thanks
