I am simulating a software app in transition from Captivate to SL2. In Captivate, I press ENTER key to proceed to the next slide. How to trigger this in SL2?
Sure you can. You just need to add another object (the highlight area) and add a state (e.g. Selected) that provides a visual highlight when the are is clicked.
Now I have a new challenge when imitating the behavior of text entry in Captivate. On the software app, i.e., the user needs to Type A in the field, and then press Enter to proceed to the next slide. Can we do the same thing in Storyline?

Create a trigger that jumps to the next slide When user presses a key <Enter>.
Thanks so much! This is handy.
Can I have two actions? For example, click the highlighted area on the screen, then press ENTER.

Hi again,

See attached a quick example of how this could be done.
Hi Michael,
This is awesome! This is how I understood the logic in your file, please tell me if I am wrong:)
1. Add a text entry (Storyline will automatically add a text variable to it)
2. Add a trigger saying press ENTER key to go to the next slide on the condition:
When value of text entry is equal to A/a (in this case)
I made one in my file and it works!!!
Thanks so much, Michael!
Correct, that's how I set up my quick example.
Thank you for your generous help!
