just like when you're browsing the web, the previous arrow takes you back to the page you came from...same with SL, it takes the learner back to the previously viewed slide. If you want it to go to the previous slide as per your story file you would need to add the slide name/number to the trigger.
Example:
Jump to slide 1.26 when user clicks the previous button
Not
Jump to slide 'previous' slide when user clicks the previous button
That's a long known issue. What about 2 possibilities: first "previous seen slide" like browser history, and second "previous slide in story/scene" that follows the order in the scene... ?

Wow! That's pretty inconvenient if you have to use absolute addresses. What
if you move slides or add slides?
