Prevent users from retaking quiz after they've passed it.

Jul 27, 2014

Hi,

For the course that we're building, we would like to prevent users from retaking the quiz if the've passed it, the next time they launch the course.

Here's what we've done:

1. Set the quiz slide properties to "resume saved state" when revisiting.

2. On player properties, set "prompt to resume" on restart.

3. Published as scorm 1.2 and track using quiz result.

When tested on our LMS, whenever we relaunched the course (after passing the quiz), the completion status and score reset to 0, unless we selected "Yes" when prompted to resume.

Is there a way of letting the users view the course again without having to retake the quiz? One option we have is to force users to resume last page when revisiting, but this is not ideal.

Thanks!

Hi Henry,

If you allow the users the option to not resume (with the prompt) they can start over again and go through the course. You could set the resume to Always resume and it would bring the user back to wherever they left off. I would also keep the slide revisiting properties set to "resume saved state" so that they're brought back to where they left off.
