I set the next/previous button to hidden when the timeline starts and appears after the activities on the slide completes (i.e. animation completes, shapes/images are selected/visited) but when revisiting the slide again, the next/previous button is not appearing. I have set in the slide properties to resume saved state when revisiting. Any feedback?

Thank you for reaching out and sharing what you are running into with your project.
Since your trigger adjusts the state of the Next button when the timeline starts, that's why you are seeing it again on re-visit.
The timeline still 'restarts', even if set to resume saved state.
What you can do is add a condition on this trigger so that the state of the Next button does not change if certain items are visited.
