I can't preview anything, as soon as I press to preview it converts the slide but nothing appears. I also can't upload a ppoint. It is a trial version and I don't have admin rights would this be anything to do with it?
It could possibly be an issue with rights. If you can, try opening Storyline by right-clicking the shortcut and selecting "Run as Administrator".
Also, please try to make sure you're working with local project files:
Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names (this includes spaces and underscores).

Also, by "upload a ppoint", do you mean you cannot import a PowerPoint file?
