Print all layers on one page

Feb 08, 2016

I need to print the script, but each layer displays as a new slide.  I would like to see all 3 layers display and print on one screen.  Any thoughts.

BTW, the layers do not enter the page all at once, the transitions are about 2-3 seconds apart.  Thank you.

I am sorry, but I cannot do that.  Where there are slides that have layers, they print as sub-slides of the original (ex. 1.6, 1.6(a), 1.6(b)).  We will be providing scripts (or Notes) but when we publish to Word, the 1.6(a), 1.6(b), etc. display as separate slides.  Can I just have all the layers print on one slide?

Hi, Kimberly -- Thanks so much for your reply! If I am understanding your question correctly, unfortunately, what you are looking for is not possible. If you could please see this post, it may shed a bit more light on what would result, and the matter is in with our Quality Assurance team for further investigation. For good measure, I will add your post the the QA ticket so that any additional updates will be shared here, as well. Your patience is appreciated.

Thank you, but this is not exactly what I am needed (and we use Word 2010). An example is below. As you can see, Trade Secrets and it’s narrative is on one slide, then Healthcare Information is on another slide, then Financial Data is on yet another slide. Could we have all the titles and accompanying narrations display all at once on one slide for printing purposes? Thanks

1.6 Why Law Firms Are Targets

Notes:
A former FBI security expert has stated that there are hundreds of law firms being targeted by hackers. She said the likelihood of being a victim of a cyberattack rises with more mobility and by sending documents through the Internet, things lawyers do often. Organizations like hospitals, on the other hand, are less appealing to thieves, as they only offer one type of information.

Hi, Kimberly -- Thanks for your reply, and I wanted to let you know that unfortunately, when you reply via email, any attachments you intended to share are not accessible or visible over here in your post.

Although I certainly understand the need to protect sensitive client content, I think it may be a bit easier to provide the assistance you need if you were able to share your file for private, offline review. If you choose uncheck layers then it should overlap the layers on the one slide image, and print only one slide for each.  Unfortunately these are the only options available at the moment for anything else it will mean you will need to manually edit the word document to achieve what you need.

You could put in a feature request for what you are after.

Hi all,

I wanted to provide an update here, as Storyline 2 Update 10 was just released, and included a number of fixes which you can see in the release notes available here. The item you all may be particularly interested in is how it fixed issue where base-layer objects hidden on layers would show when publishing to Microsoft Word. You can download the latest update here, and after downloading and installing the latest update you’ll want to republish any existing content to ensure that the updates and fixes are applied.
