problem with outlining "objects" with scribble

Hi

I am doing a project that introduce the learners with different equipment in one picture, where they are side by side very closely

I want to learner to be able to click on each of them (hotspot) and I could highlight it by having a yellow outline (scribble) around each of them

in each layer of the equipment, the selected equipment will have a red outline (scribble) around it.

But that is not working so well because the scribble shape will have the invisible rectangle and you will not be able to click the other equipment under this rectangle (because it has higher priority being the layer object over the objects in the base layer)

I created a simpler version here so you can see

for example, when you have clicked the laptop, imagine that invisible rectangle of the scribble, you are not able to click part of the book and the coffee because it overlaps

any idea of what to do?

using trigger just for the scribble shape and not the hotspot doesn't work neither

Thanks for reaching out with what you are experiencing in your project as well as a sample file so that we could take a look.

This seems to be the behavior of the hotspots, even without overlapping.

I added a second slide with hotspots that do not overlap as a visual. It seems intuitive with the hand to click.

once you click on one object, the "invisible rectangle" is "on"

and when you click on this area (eventhough it should another hotspot), it doesn't do anything

you can try to say click on the computer, then click on the right side of the notebook, it doesn't work

Hi elearning MSH,

Thanks for taking the time to share your videos and files. I see what trouble you're running into when creating freeform hotspots and shapes.

While the hotspot areas remain true to click on, the rectangles that border each hotspot is overlapping, causing selection issues. I'll be sure to report this behavior for my team to review.
