I try to make scrolling panel with some text. Scrolling panel seeems to work Ok, but when I insert text with cyrillic (Russian) letters, part of the text is truncated and instead of that text, { -sign appears and then the last paragraph duplicated.
Intersting that everything works correct with western (latin) text. I have made screen recording, but it seems I can not get support - I use trial version of Storyline.I have seen "truncated text
Let's keep in touch: if you find the workaround or Articulate Support solve this problem for you - please post the solution here.I promise to do the same.
So far I failed to find workaround, and support offered to use Unicode fonnts. Unfortunately it doesn't solve the problem.
The fix will be part of the next release (not sure exactly when that will happen).
Janus and George, if you want to verify this fix for us in a new build, send me an email (mnirell@articulate.com) and i will see if i can get you a new install.
I originally though my issue was with the scrolling pane, however, I now see the same results as the users in this thread.
I am pasting over 5000 characters of text(including spaces) from notepad (western - Arial - 10pt.) into a textbox.
The result is that teh text is trunctated at about 2880 characters (including spaces) and then it also gets duplicated at teh truncation point (effectively showing me 5760 characters.
The fix will be part of the next release (not sure exactly when that will happen).

I somehow missed this. I would like to try a new install. I sent e-mail yesterday and looking forward to try the solution!
We haven't yet released full details on our upcoming Presenter '13, but I'd encourage you to place a feature request for anything you'd like to see included. Thanks!
After importing the course in LMS (SCORM 2004), course menu (text with cyrillic) turns into random characters (varies encoding). How to solve the prblem? Thank you!
Does the course look as expected within Storyline? Have you checked to see that your LMS can support the Cyrillic text within the menu? You may want to test the course at SCORM Cloud as well, which is an industry standard for testing SCORM Content and see how it behaves there. If you're able to replicate the behavior there, can you share the .story file with us?

The good news is that this issue has been fixed.
The bad news is that there is no work around.

Hi Pavel:
This sounds like a language encode issue on you LMS.
Find out if your LMS supports the language that you are publishing in.
As an example, if I am publishing in Traditional Chinese and my LMS does not support this language, you will receive garbage characters.
Best Regards,
Dennis Hall
Hi Ashley!
Thanks for your help!
Uploaded on cloud.ssorm my course. There all works. It seems the problem in LMS ...
Thanks for the update Pavel and good luck with your LMS!
Hi!
The problem was solved. It was necessary to set in the file imsmanifest.xml string .
What if you make it at Storyline?
