Problem with text entry fields in Storyline 3

Since updating to Storyline 3 I have come across a problem with text entry field boxes and the TextEntry variables. This was working absolutely fine in Storyline 2.
I have quite a few projects where I have added my own text entry field on to a slide. I have set it up that it will send the user to a particular layer (a wrong answer layer) when they click a button - but if they have put the correct text into the text box it will immediately send them to a correct answer layer when the timeline starts.
In Storyline 3 it is no longer going to the correct answer layer if the correct text is put into the text box.
Unfortunately a lot of these are interactions where I can't use the built in text graded question instead.

Thanks for posting this... I found it while searching for an answer to SL3 text entry for graded questions, because I created one and I have a rectangle that appears to be for typing the text, but it won't allow typing on slide/scene/project preview. I cannot figure out why, so I guess I'll have to go with multiple choice... AGAIN! ;o( Staff - please help?????
