Problems with special character

Feb 07, 2013

Hi!

Well we have a letters like č, š and ž in our alphabet. And ofcourse I'm using them in our course

Everything works great but at the result score code there is a problem.

In editor it looks fine:

(look at word točk..it has letter č in it)

But when I preview it or publish it there is no letter č in it:

I use the same font as in other slides where everything works properly.

Where seems to be the problem?

THanks!

Primoz

Hi Primoz,

Do you have Update 2 installed? Some special characters (such as Danish characters æ, å, and ø) and diacritical marks (such as accents (ó), umlauts (ö), and tildes (õ)) may not display in your published Storyline course if they're in the same text box with one or more variable references. This issue was corrected in Update 2 for Storyline. Please review this article for more information.

Let me know if that resolves the problem for you.

Thanks!

Hi Primoz,

Sorry to hear you're still working with this, I had hoped the update solved the issue for you. This is pretty strange, though, most issues with the accented text were resolved in that update. This is definitely something we'd need to take a look at, if the update hasn't fixed this issue. Are you able to send the course to our technical team so we can test this?

You'll be able to attach the .STORY file on the second page of the following form:
