Progress Indication

I have a Storyline program in which I have a custom interface and am not using the player. The program has six lessons (each is a scene) of varying lengths in terms of the number of slides. I would like to show a simple "Page X of X" indication so the user knows where they are in the lesson and how much remains. I would like this to automatically update if pages were added or removed from a lesson. I don't think the progress meter/bar route is practical as there are many pages, the number varies in each lesson, and these tend to be manual insertions of graphics that have to be manually managed.
Has anyone done a simple "page of page" thing that can automatically be "aware" of the number of slides in a lesson (scene)?

I'm needing the same type of solution. What is the progress meter/bar you are referring to in your post?
Thanks,
Daryl
Daryl,
There are several examples of creating progress bars on the Articulate site that you can find by searching. Many of these simply update a stylized graphic every X number of slides. So that if you have 50 slides you might update the graphic "bar" by 20% every 10 slides. You can determine the resolution by how often you update the bar. If you send me an email address I will forward you something from Yukon Learning that shows how to build a progress meter.

Hi Neil,
For creating a message with "slide X of X(total)slides", there are some cool community workarounds in this thread.
Daryl, there are some cool progress bar ideas found on this website: 35 Beautiful Progress Bar Designs and this thread offers some community solutions.
Thanks Ashley!
