Hey there Tzvi,

Sorry that's happening, I'm happy to help!

I published your course for web and uploaded to Tempshare to test it on the web. It appears to play normally. Take a look at here and let me know if you see any strange behavior.

If not, where are you uploading your course to when you're testing the published output?

Keep me posted!

Walt Hamilton

Publishing only works in a specific environment.

If you want to see it on a local computer, you must publish for CD; if you want to see it on paper, you must publish to Word. If you publish it for LMS, it won't work unless it is uploaded to and LMS, and publishing for the web does not work well if it is not hosted on the internet.

Match your method of publishing to your intended method of viewing. Also note that not all versions of all browsers function well with published ocntent.

Hi Ali,

Firstly, let me thank you for answering me so quick,

Secondly, unfortunately, I found your answer only after I have tried to fix it again, by running it on another browser and not Google Chrome where the problem has appeared.

Would you be so kind and help me with another thing,

Once running it on the browser, the function of clicking on the screen, to action the animation of the lines  - moves with quite big delay. What can I do?!

Thanks

Hi Walt,

Firstly, let me thank you for answering me so quick,

Secondly,  i have tried to fix it again, by running it on another browser as you offer like not like Google Chrome where the problem has appeared - and it worked.

SO the problem was not the way of saving ( like CD) but running it on the Google Chrome Browser. SO thank you very much.

Would you be so kind and help me with another thing,

Once running it on the browser, the function of clicking on the screen, to action the animation of the lines  - moves with quite big delay. What can I do?!

Dear Articulate team,

Another question Pls.

Could i control the Animation "fly in" - with "clicking" with the mouth and not by "Duration". I would like to get Power point effect, for the word lines to fly in only when i click, I have tried to use "trigger" but there isn't any possibility to choose "animation" .

Thanks ahead

One of the differences between PPt and SL is that SL has a timeline that is always running, while PPt doesn't. It just sits there and waits for you. Another difference is that PPt looks for random clicks, but SL only recognizes clicks that are connected to an object.

So in Ppt, you click and it does something. Sl does different things depending on when you click.

There are several ways you might approach this, but remember, the magic is never what it looks like. We never actually do what the user sees, we do things that give the appearance of what the user sees. So you can't click on "animation", but you can attach an animation to the object. Then when it appears, it uses that animation.

The attached story has some different ways of getting text to appear; one that depends on time, and two that depend on the user's action.

Dear Walt,

As I have promised,  i have seen your special file, you have prepared for me, and I am more than grateful. The first and the third solution i knew, The second was new - thank you very much.

Unfortunately, i think the 3 ways bad solution compare to the simple  way we use to work with PPT.

Let me suggest, with you permission, and  offer Articulate Developing Team to fine a simple automatic way like PPT  -in one Action.

Thanks again for your all your  help, it give us, the users, good feelings that we are not aloe with the product we have purchased

Tzvi, we're so glad you're getting the help you need here!  Thanks for being a part of the community.  🙂

Using a trigger to control animations has been brought up before.  Here's an article about using cue points to sync animations that might be helpful.

I'll submit a feature request on your behalf to allow for triggering animations too!
