Publish to web crashes

Feb 07, 2023

I cannot publish my course to Web. Early in the process, I get an error screen (attached). I have rebooted and tried about ten times, always with the same result. One time out of these ten, it did manage to complete the export, but the first slide of the course had resources missing and other formatting was lost. What I saw of the remainder looked ok though. (I did not preview all of it so there may have been other problems.)

Please help, I'm at the one yard line of this months long project. So frustrating.

Hi Jim,

Thanks so much for reaching out. I'm so sorry to hear that you're having issues publishing your project to Web. I understand how frustrating that can be.

I've created a support case on your behalf so that our talented Support Engineers can take a closer look at your file.

In the meantime, I wanted to provide some additional troubleshooting steps to ensure things are running smoothly on your end:

1.  Be sure you are working on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.

2. You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).

3.  Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names.

Our Engineers will be in touch shortly via email. We appreciate your patience!
