When I go to the publish button and select "Word", I fill out all of the necessary information according to the tutorials and hit "publish" and it does produce a document. However, that document only contains the first slide and the notes for that slide. What am I doing wrong?
A few questions to help us get to the bottom of this:
Is this happening with any Storyline file or a particular one?
What version of Office do you have installed?
If you can share an affected .story file with me, I'm happy to test it with your permission. You can send it privately to me by using this link. I'll delete it after troubleshooting!
So after some back and forth with my internal IT people, I was able to
troubleshoot the problem and get it fixed. I thought you might like to
know the resolution.
My system had both MS Word 2016 and the "native" version of Word that's
installed with the Windows 10 operating system. Apparently having both of
these things installed causes them to conflict. Storyline was selecting
the "native" version as the default, so I uninstalled the "native" version
and was able to publish to Word 2016 without any issues (once my IT guy
fixed a registry issue).
Thanks for chiming in and letting us know what the fix was! I'm sure this will be helpful for anyone who comes across this same issue.
By the way, it looks like you may have replied by email where your contact information came through. This Peek video will show you how to edit it out if you’d like!

Can you take a screen shot of your publish dialogue box and share?

Let me know, as I'm happy to keep digging!
I'm having the issue with all storyline files (or at least both of the ones
I have completed and ready to publish).
Here's one of the storyline files:
