I find that if I set the player menu controls to restricted when the course is published the next button doesn't work for a period of time this can be close to a minute. Once the time has passed the button will work on that particular slide every time but will lock up on the next slide and so on throughout the course.
Has anyone else come across this?
I have raised a support request but haven't heard anything back from them:(
that is SL2 behaviour - next button is disabled until timeline finishes when using restricted menu option. search the forum for a workaround by Bobbi Bailey.
Do you know if it has been designed to function that way or whether its a system bug because I really can't understand why that functionality would be necessary?
This is by design, you can look at the information here. As well as the workaround in the link above, you can also shorten the timeline to a second, or you can use custom navigation buttons.
