Publishing Multiple Resutls

Mar 29, 2017

Hello everyone,

I'm currently in the process of creating a quiz hub with multiple topics, although I am currently only able to submit one result slide.

Ill describe how I would like it to function,

The user is presented with a quiz hub, where they have two options "Quiz A" and "Quiz B". Both of these quizzes must be completed in order to complete the lesson. If the learner fails "Quiz A", they are then presented with remedial learning for that topic. They are then directed to retake "Quiz A". This same function carries out for "Quiz B".

Is it possible to add the results of "Quiz A" and "Quiz B" together to a new "Overall Result" Slide to publish to the LMS? I would like to be able to view all the results within Moodle.

Words cannot describe how grateful I would be for assistance on this issue!

I am using SCORM 2004 as the elearning standard.

Also, apologies if this question has been asked before, I have scoured through the forum to no avail.

Thanks! :)

EDIT:

I have come to another realisation for a possible alternative. I want to create a variable to state whether these quizzes have been passed or not, rather than submitted a score. Once both of these variables have been set to "Pass", I will submit a "Complete/Incomplete" to the LMS rather than a score? Is this achievable?

Hi,

for your first question: yes you can create a "final result" slide which contains the 2 result slides of quiz a and b. (see attachment "final result")

final result

You have to select this final result slide to be the one that sends the scores to the lms when publishing. (see attachment "final result publish")

To your second question: for every result slide you can set a different percentage needed for passing the quiz. You can change the appearance of this slide (if shown to the user) to a simple "Yay you did it (or not)", but storyline/moodle still needs points to tell if the user passed or not and the lms too. (see attachment "result slide options")

We use moodle too in our company and quizzes for certifications. In our courses the user has to reach for example 60% to get a certificate that he did this course and the settings in moodle has to be the same (60%) to activate the link to download this certificate.

Sorry my screenshots are in german, but I was too lazy to change it into english. ;) Hope I could help a little bit with this explanation.

Greetings,

Susi
