Publishing, Reporting and Tracking Settings Storyline and Moodle 2.8

Jul 01, 2016

I have a client who's publishing courses through moodle 2.8.

I'm not that familiar with Moodle and am hoping someone could provide some guidance on the publishing settings.  I'd like to confirm the setting in storyline (tracking and reporting) and moodle (compatibility settings and activity completion).

Here's the scenario:

- Following the completion (all slides viewed) the participant should be able to navigate forward to the next module. Forward navigation is blocked if the participants does not view all slides (exists out before completion).

- 1 module has no assessment so the requirement is to move forward after all slides are viewed.  Moodle reporting as complete.

- The rest of the modules have assessments.  My client wants the result (% score) reported through to moodle.  If the participant does not pass, the participants can still move forward.  If the participant exists out of module prior to finishing all slides, the next module is not to be displayed.

Thanks so much in advance for your help.

Hi Helen

For your first requirement you would need to set it up as a Multi SCO or using activity completion in Moodle.  The activity Completion would in my opinion be better.  You would need to set it to mark completion on slides viewed and in Moodle set completion on student achieves a grade and then set a score in the grade book.

For the modules with a quiz you need to publish and report via results slide, sure that in moodle you set a grade in the grade book.
