Thanks for reaching out and sharing that you're running into an issue publishing to Review 360 as well.
I'm not clear on what version of Storyline you're currently using.
You can check by going to: Help > About Articulate Storyline
We are currently on Build 3.48.24116.0 of Storyline 360. You can read all of the details (and see previous updates) here.
With your permission, I'd like to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening. You can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
Thanks for sharing that screenshot, Beth. It looks like that's your version of Parallels, but no worries, I recorded a quick Peek 360 video to demonstrate how you can check for your Storyline 360 version.
Are you able to share your .story project with me? As I mentioned above, I'd be happy to take a look.
Hi Leslie, thanks for the video! I have checked, and I have updated my storyline 360 to the latest (48). I have just sent you the storyline file privately too :)
Hello, Is there any update on this as I am having such problems with a current file. All my course are publishing slow but one in particular takes up to 2 hours.
I was able to take a look at the case Beth worked on with our team and it was specific to her working environment with the settings and space on her virtual machine. So, there is not an overall solution to share here.
With your permission, I'd like you to share your .story project file with our support engineers to investigate what's happening. You can share it privately by uploading it here. It will be deleted when troubleshooting is complete.
Thank you for opening a case with our support engineers! I see you worked with my teammate Ronaziel, who explained the time it took to publish your video was affected by the size of your project and the inclusion of several audio and video objects.
If you have additional questions, please reach out to Ronaziel through the case.
Are the optimal settings for Virtual Machines and Storyline available somewhere. This has been an ongoing issue for me as well using Parallels on a Mac, and the latest updated Storyline. Often the files can take over an hour to publish and I would say 80% of the time they just crash at the end. Oddly though I can push out the same file at times in less than a minute so its not an issue with my files. I have explored the internet speed issue, updated my router and have extremely fast internet speed reports and am still struggling to upload to 360 Review.
I'm happy to help! We don't have separate settings when publishing a Storyline course while using a virtual machine. I'm currently running Parallels as well, and I haven't run into any publishing issues. I've attached a project that I just published to Review 360. It took 15 seconds to publish. Do you mind publishing it on your end and letting me know how long it took to publish to Review 360?
Your file did upload for me, and it took 5 minutes and 36 seconds to publish. I am currently at 195mbps upload speed (274 mbps downlod). So I don't feel its a connection issue. For more complex modules they are taking up to an hour to upload. Any ideas?
If you continue to experience slow publishing times on Storyline 360 Build 3.54.25674.0 (verify by going to the Help tab, then click About Storyline), I encourage you to connect with one of our support engineers here as the next step, so they can help determine a cause. They'll reach out shortly after!
Can you share some of your settings that you have for Parallels? Slow publishing speeds seem to be common among users on virtual machines, myself included.
I want to confirm that the issue you are experiencing is slow publishing speeds when trying to publish to Review 360? I have a few quick questions for you to help me troubleshoot.
What version of Storyline are you using? You can check by going to the Help tab > About Articulate Storyline. We are currently on Build 3.63.27674.0 of Storyline 360.
Is this happening with a specific file? If so, about how long is it taking to publish?
Do you know your internet speed?
If you're comfortable sharing your file, I'd like to take a look at it to investigate what's happening. You can share it with us here, or privately through a support case. We will delete it from our systems when troubleshooting is complete.
Hello, I was wondering if this issue of super slow publishing times has a solution. It seems to have no rhyme or reason when it starts doing it, or to what files. I was publishing these same storyline files in a couple minutes before, now they take several hours to publish - if at all. The screen shot attached is after about an hour, whereas this same file used to publish quickly in a couple minutes. Even short ones with no videos or pictures are taking forever, including one that is just 10 multiple choice questions. I've uninstalled and reinstalled articulate and reset my internet multiple times. Nothing else is having issues. I am using Parallels on a Mac. Storyline v3.68.28887.0. Thank you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. I have a few clarifying questions for you both to help me narrow down the root cause.
What version of Storyline are you using? You can check by going to the Help tab > About Articulate Storyline. We are currently on Build 3.70.2911.0 of Storyline 360.
Is this happening with a specific file or multiple files?
Do you know your internet speed?

Hi Michelle,
I'm happy to look into the publishing duration with you!
Publishing times can vary based on course size and the media included, but usually by a few minutes. Could you help me confirm a few more details?
Hi!
Has this been resolved?
I'm having the same issue - but for publishing to review 360. No videos involved.
My team mates are having to publish for me as it can take up to 3 hours to publish to review sometimes - whereas it will take 5 minutes for them.
I've checked what Storyline I am using and it is 16.1.1
Thanks, Beth

Same here. Would be nice to know why. It's all of a sudden for me too. Was fine a few days ago

Same with me. It is taking lots of time when i publish to video. However, fine when i publish via review 360 or lms. Why with video?

Hi Katie,
I'm sorry you're publishing times are so slow! We just released Storyline v3.70.29211.0. Can you update Storyline and see if the problem remains?
Thanks for reaching out!
Same here. Used to take just a few minutes now it takes over an hour to publish.
I was facing the same issue. Kindly suggest the appropriate solution!
