I'm new to the slide masters. I've created my slide masters and want to import the master slides into multiple projects with the same style and elements.
Is there something similar to import Slide Master and an easy way to update them to a newer version? Or should I edit all Slide Masters in each project individually when I want to edit something.
With Slide Masters, there is an option to save a theme that can be used in other projects. This allows you to start with your design from your saved theme and make any edits to the theme in your new project. You can find more details about working with themes here:
When you import a slide from one Storyline file into another Storyline file, the program automatically imports all the Slide Master layouts. That includes the ones not used by the imported slide. This happens even if the two files use the exact same Masters.
The program will only import the Feedback Master layouts if you import a slide that is using one of the layouts (e.g., a Quiz slide or a slide with a layer).
That how to quickly get the Masters from one file into another. It doesn't assign the imported Master to any of the existing slides. You'd have to do that manually.
Also note that any desired updates to the Master would have to be done separately in each file. (Or you'd have to repeat the entire import-and-reassign-layout process.)
Yes, I second Judy's recommendation of updating each course to prevent losing any course functionality.
Hopefully, updating slide masters is not something that you will need to do regularly and if you haven't nailed it down yet, I'd wait to apply them to multiple courses.

I tried using themes but this way all triggers lose their connections. Same thing with importing.
This way I'll lose all trigger connections
