Question: Story Sizing for Portrait Mobile eLearning Project?
Aug 04, 2014
Hello all!
I am new to the forum and am getting a LOT out of reading through the forums and blog! Thank you!
I am starting a e-learning project for a mobile app my company is rolling out. Currently, the app is being designed for Android platform smartphones. The app will run in portrait mode, and I plan on developing a training piece that will link from the app's Help menu. I would like my training piece to run in portrait format as well, as I will be utilizing screenshots from the app and developing interactions, hotspots, etc., around those screenshots.
My question is: How do I set up the Story Sizing for this project? The New project story sizing defaults are 4:3 or 16:9 Landscape. Experimenting, I have been able to choose custom and create a Portrait story size. However, I need to make sure that the final piece is in 16:9 Portrait format, is responsive, and will adjust to various mobile device screen sizes.
Any advice would be very much appreciated! Thank you!

Hi Daniel, welcome to the community. Before You get too deep into the details, be aware that Android is currently not supported by Storyline's HTML5 output. Depending on device and OS version, your content may or may not work.
HI Michael,
Uh oh. I did not know that. So, for Android, would I have to stick with Flash? Is there any other information I can read regarding how to developing and publishing content for Android devices?
Here is some info on Storyline/Android. Flash might be an option to consider, but as far as I know, some newer Android tablets and phones do not support Flash anymore.
