Quiz attempts disabled after you navigate to a new module

Feb 17, 2023

Hi everyone!

I am having an issue with my quiz slides. When the user initially completes the quiz as they make their way through the module, all interactions work as they should.  If the user navigates on to the next module and then attempts to go back to the quiz in a prior module it will not allow the user to re-do the quiz-it only allows them to use the navigation tools at the bottom to cycle through.  I know this is an easy fix, but I can't seem to figure it out!

Have included screenshots of my triggers for the results slide (working appropriately unless user moves to next module) and the screenshot of the navigation once a user would return to a prior module's quiz.

Sorry Eric! Don't know what happened!

Ideally, once a user completes the quiz initially and gets their results if they navigate to another module and then back to the prior module's quiz I would like for it to go back to the results slide.  From there, they could either "Review" or "Retry".

Thanks!

Hi Kaitlyn,

No worries, and thanks for sharing the screenshots! After completing a quiz, and showing the Results slide for it. Once you click the Previous button or use a Jump to slide trigger to navigate back to submitted question slides, the Submit button is no longer available for that slide. If learners want to retake the question slides, they must go to the Results slide for that quiz and click the Retry Quiz button.

I hope that helps clarify things. Let me know if you have other questions!

Hello Kaitlyn,

Happy to chime in!

Is your design goal to allow your learners to re-do a quiz if they revisit the slide? If so, you can try setting the revisit behavior of your slide to 'Reset to initial state'.

What this setting will do is clear your learner's previous answer to allow them to retake the question on a new attempt.

If this isn't what you were looking for, feel free to share more details regarding how you'd like the design of your navigation to work and I’m sure one of our talented community members will have suggestions for you!
