Quiz Introduction Instructions

Oct 25, 2020

Hi Folks! What's the best wording for an assessment/quiz intro slide you've seen for? I always seem to forget something when I create these intro slides.  Mine is 10 questions from a pool of 20 with at least one retry. Thanks!

Hi, Shannon,

I don't think there's a "best" wording for this. Sure, it'll vary somewhat based on how the test works. But it mostly depends on the "voice" used in the other text in the course.

If you tend to forget to say something, perhaps just write as per a checklist of main points you might use:

  • The presentation of content is over, and it's time for the final assessment.
    • Mention the option to review content first (assuming that's possible).
  • Mention test details, as needed/as appropriate:
    • Number of questions
    • Score needed to pass
    • Number of attempts allowed
    • How feedback will be presented
