Quiz Question Text runs off slide when published

I'm having an issue with the publishing of my latest quiz. When I preview my story everything looks great but when I publish it the text for about 10 of my 45 questions run off the slide so the quesiton cannot be fully viewed.
I think this may somehow be related to the fact that I was testing the changing of story size for iPad formats within this file last month at which point this issue began but I cannot seem to find a way out of it now that the changes have been saved. General steps:
- Reduced story size from 900*675 to 800*600 using scale to fit options
- Reverted to the original story size, again with scale to fit options - text boxes skewed
- Readjusted text boxes on each slide that had scaled off the page to fit
- Tested several fonts to attempt to fix
- Set properties of offending text boxes to "do not scale"
Still I am stuck with what is portrayed in the image attached. Any ideas on what I could try next?
Many thanks!
J

Not sure this will do the trick but try the following (each is an individual suggestion, not steps):
Thanks for the suggestions! Unfortunately, none of those actions have changed the state of the published quiz. I find it particularly strange that creating a new text box did not work!
Hi, Josh: This is sort of a last resort kind of thing, but you might try saving the text box as an image, and then inserting it.
Hey, if you get desperate it might work.
Better suggestion (maybe): Have you tried importing your course into a fresh, correctly-sized SL file?
Hi Josh,
I'd agree with Daniel here on importing it into a new SL file. It sounds like something has happened within this particular one. When you importing in a new SL file, you'll want to set up the new one first with the story size and any templates.
If you continue to have difficulty, are you able to share your .story with our Support team?
I'm not sure if this is related to the same type of problem, but this frequently happens to me. Sometimes slides will randomly ruin the size formatting of a quiz question's textbox. Rather than keep it within the frame of the slide, it will simply extend all of the text onto one line and move outside the bounds of the slide. In some cases where I fix the formatting, the same problem can come back.
Any thoughts on this?
Hi Alexander,
We've seen similar behavior before and it tends to occur when files are not being worked on from a local drive but instead a network or shared drive as detailed here. You may also see this when applying different masters to the quiz question than the initial one applied, but you should be able to adjust the sizing on that slide once the new master is included.
I'm using the same master slide, so that's not the problem. However, I am using Oracle Virtual Box to run Storyline in OSX. The SL saved file is physically on a local hard drive, but Virtual Box does treat the file as if it were on a network drive.
Ah, that could be it than Alexander. If you're able to try importing it into a new Storyline file it may resolve some of the behavior, and you could also look at testing it on a new file worked on exclusively within the local set up.
Any resolution on this issue? Seems like a lot of people are having this problem with no clear reason for it occurring?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks
