In the file uploaded there are 3 sample quiz questions.
Slide 1.1 Pick Many Example - while previewing (and when published) you can click on the text for the yellow box option only. All other distractors must be clicked OFF of the text.
Slide 1.2 Pick One Example - you can click on the blue box text but all other distractors you must click off of the text.
Slide 1.3 True/False - you can click on the True or False Text
Problem:
I can find no difference in any attributes between the distractors that you can click on the text and the ones that you cannot. I would like to be able to click on the text for ALL of the distractors.
your first quiz question although a pick many freeform slide only has one answer selected in form view. In this case you need to select all four text objects > right click and select > button set - this will allow any of the answers to be selected (but only one)
Also, I notice you are using 'normal state' in your show invalid answer layer - this can sometimes cause issues, I would recommend using the 'not selected' state for the objects in that trigger.
Hi Wendy - Thank you for the reply, however your solution does not work. I want to be able to click on the colored square or the text to select an option - the way it is now only one of them is working properly.
I apologize, I do not think I explained my issue very well, I'll try again. In the sample file I sent:
1. for slide 1.1 - I want all the options to function like the yellow option (you can click on the yellow box or the text or anywhere in the yellow selection area)
2. for slide 1.2 - I want all the options to function like the blue option (you can click on the blue box or the text or anywhere in the blue selection area)
3. slide 1.3 is working properly.
I do not see any differences between the options that are not functioning as I'd like and the ones that are.
I can't explain why the objects are not acting as expected. For the first slide since the yellow text box was working I changed the formatting to 'do not autofit' - increased the size to 88px and middle aligned the text - then copied that text box to the other three - objects and it's working as expected. Did the same for slide 2.
@Wendy - I too realized I could create them from scratch and they would work however, I have hundreds of these that need to be fixed. I really do not want to have to re-enter all the text in the text boxes. It obviously would be better if I could just fix the objects attributes to get them to all functioning the same. Any other ideas?
as I said above I cannot see why they are behaving are as they are so perhaps you should submit a support case to see if the Articulate Engineers can tell you why 3 out of 4 don't work correctly.

If an object is a text box, you can click on any part of it. If it is a shape, you cannot click on its text.
@Walt - you actually can. See the file I uploaded

Hi Wendy, I've not done that before could you possibly provide me with the link to submit a support case?
Here you go

They have already replied with a work around. I'm hoping they can resolve the actual issue.
Hi Maria,
Thanks for this - and I can see that Lea is looking into your case so I'll follow along.
