Quiz scoring backwards

Apr 03, 2020

I am using SL3 in Windows 10/CHROME and IE.

I need the score to show how many are correct out of the total number of questions.  If one is missed, the score shows 1/10.  I'd like it to display 9/10.

Please advise.

Thank you.

Since no response, let me share part 1 of my story.  None of the quizzes in each module is displays the score accurately.

Module 2

Quiz working – review only shows question #8, 1/10 score

Module 3

Quiz isn’t working – review only shows question #5, 8, and 9

Module 4

Quiz isn’t working – review only shows question #7, and 9

Module 5
Quiz isn’t working – review only shows question #7

Module 6

Quiz  isn’t working – scoring display isn’t right and review only shows question #1, 3, 4, 5, and 6

Hi Roberta,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing your file! Just to confirm, are you asking:

I need the score to show how many are correct out of the total number of questions.

Storyline defaults to the number of answers correct out of total answers, so if you had 9 out of 10 questions correct, you should see 90% or 9/10 in your results slide.

Once I jumped in, I realized that you have multiple results slides, each with only a few questions selected, then a final results slide with all the questions selected.

I recommend:

  1. Reviewing each of your results slides for the questions you wish to grade and track. You can do this by clicking on the Edit Results button on each results slide.
  2. Then, on the final results slide, instead of tracking by question, track by results slide to combine all your other results slide into a cumulative score.

Let me know if you had a specific reason for your current setup, and we can dig further!
