Quiz - selecting multiple areas on an image -STORYLINE
Jul 16, 2012
I have a Spot the Hazards exercise; the users need to select 10 areas within the image to identify the various hazards.
I was using captivate previously and you could select more than one hotspot on an image. However in Storyline it seems that for hotspots you can only have one correct answer. I tried using freeform and you can have more than one but it seems that you can't have more than one selected at a time.
I thought I could use the multiple response question but I don't want the checkboxes visible - the user needs to be able to select the correct areas without any prompts.
Does anyone have any other suggestions. I am completely new to Storyline so perhaps there is something obvious that I have missed...?!
Many thanks.

Hi Shelley! What I'd do is turn your slide into a Freeform Pick Many question. This would allow learners to be able to select multiple items on the screen. Plus, you'd be able to create a selected state on each clickable area, to give learners a visual indicator of what they've selected so far - which will probably be pretty helpful since they need to find a fairly large number of items.
Here's an example of what I mean:
That's awesome, thanks so much for your help!
I love having an issue trying to figure out how to do something in Storyline, coming here, and finding not just the answer, but a video how-to. Thanks Jeanette!
Thank you! This was also fabulous for me today, still relevant using Storyline 360.
