Hello, I have a multiple choice question. Students may retake it five times, there are five answers. I do not have a results slide. I added a trigger for the results to reset since there was not one created automatically. I have the attempts set at 5. I have shuffle chosen in the answers option. The answers will shuffle one time but on the second and third attempts the answers are the same. I keep changing the revisit state for all the layers but I can't find the combination that will work for shuffled answers on each retry.
What am I doing wrong? File is attached for your review.
I took a look at your file and got the same results as you, both previewing and publishing (locally). The 2nd time and subsequent times the choices are always listed in this order
Bearings
Camshaft & timing set
Crankshaft
Cylinder block
Piston and rod assembly
By the way, I don't believe you need that reset results trigger...it wasn't referring to anything. And the quiz resets each time without it.
Maybe someone can jump in and explain what's up ... hopefully you don't need to set up a bunch of triggers to get this to really shuffle properly!
Are you telling me that to make this process work for every quiz of this type, I will need a results slide (for its functionality) even tho I don't link to it and that I will always need to place the reset trigger at the beginning of each project.
I appreciate the quick reply. I am almost finished with this lesson and now I have great process documentation to help me complete all the future lessons.

I would say "yes" because it's the only way (I know of) to make sure that answers are shuffled when revisiting a question slide. Also the only way to make sure that questions are randomized when revisiting a question bank draw.
The reset trigger should be placed before revisiting the same question slide (or question bank)
If others can think of another way of doing this, please let me, and any other person having difficulties with questions being randomized/shuffled, know!

Without the reset trigger, the quiz retained the previous answer when you selected retry quiz and the answers didn't shuffle for the first retry.

Hi Allida,
You were on the right track including the reset trigger, you just needed to add a result slide and assign this trigger to it.
I've added the result slide, and moved the reset trigger to the first slide in your project.
(the reset trigger should come before a jump to slide trigger)
Now the answers will be shuffled each time you land on the quiz slide!

You wouldn't need a results slide for each question, but for the overall set of questions that are needing to be reset will use that results slide.
