When I preview my project, I hear random pop sounds that appear to coincide with certain objects appearing/disappearing. Does anyone know why this is happening? Do animations come with sounds?
Hard to say without seeing the setup of your file. Can you share the .story file or even a couple of the slides where this is happening. Are you using mouse cursors - if the option is set there may be mouse click sounds which can be turned off here or if you are recording screen (like a simulation).
I attached the project. You only need to preview at the first introductory slide (ignore the rest) and all of those layers. For example, you'll hear a pop sound when the Simpsons gif disappears and a bunch when the newspapers pop up on the screen.
I recognize that some sounds are there because i have a bad audio mic (and there's one pop sound that I programmed to be there)
Thank you for your help! I definitely think there are moments when the mic is being bumped. I don't think that explains the moment after the newspapers appear when there are a flurry of pop sounds in a row. It makes me think that they somehow coincide with the images appearing/disappearing.

Hi Ed
I hear what you're saying and I'm no audio expert but it sounds like the mic is being bumped.
Perhaps someone else can chime in and give an answer.

I realized it is the mic. I redid those audio files and the pop sounds went away. Thank you!
Glad to hear you figured it out, Eli! Thanks for the update - and best of luck recording with no pops!
