Is there a way to record audio in storyline once you have created your presentation from scratch? I have recorded a screencast but now I am trying to add audio to the rest of the slides and I dont know how.
Can you clarify what it is you're trying to do? So, your screencast slides are all set, but you need audio on other slides? If so, audio can be inserted by
1. Selecting the Insert tab
2. Clicking the Sound button (on the media group).
3. Inserting previously recorded sound or recording your own sound.
I have run into another snag. I added a layer to one of my slides and I cannot get the content on the layer to display or the buttons to work to on the base layer. I have the triggers set, but something is not set right.

Hi Karen and welcome to the community!
Are you able to share a screenshot of your triggers for the layer, or even the .STORY file?
Maybe we could take a look at what's going on and see if we can provide some suggestions :)
Thanks!
