record student name and quiz scores

Is there a way to record each student name and quiz scores from all quizzes in a learning course?

Using Storyline 360

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for reaching out!

If you upload your course to an LMS, you'll be able to track the names and quiz scores of everyone who takes your quizzes. You can check out this article to see all of the quiz data that Storyline 360 sends to an LMS:

And here's a helpful article if you're just getting starting on working with LMSs:

Let me know if you have any questions!

Joe,

Thank you so much for your timely response and for the links to learn more.

I also read the article posted in Articulate entitled "Storyline 360: More Quizzing and Tracking Options".

I was confused by the concept "...The quiz result slide that executes its “submit results” trigger first is the one that gets tracked and scored in your LMS/LRS..."

There were several seeming explanations of what 'first' meant, but i still don't get it. Can you make it simple for the simple minded?

Here is what i want to do: In my course, at the end of each course objective, i want to have 5 quiz questions. With 8 course objectives, that would be 8 quizzes, for a total of 40 questions altogether. I want each question to permit multiple attempts until the correct answer is chosen, however, i want the LMS to report on the first choice for each question. I want a report like this for each student.

Two questions: 1) In this scenario, can all 40 questions be captured by LMS? 2) Can I have the first attempt recorded for each question?

Hi Jeff,

If you want the LMS to report on the first choice for each question, you'll want to make sure to set the number of attempts for your quizzes to 1.

Regarding this statement:

"...The quiz result slide that executes its “submit results” trigger first is the one that gets tracked and scored in your LMS/LRS..."

This means that the LMS will receive the results from the results slide that executes this trigger first:

And yes, all 40 of your questions will be recorded by your LMS provided that your quizzes are designated as either a Pre-check or Final Assessment quiz.

Hope this helps!

Joe,

Thank you for your explanation. I will set 'attempts' to 1 and if the student makes an incorrect choice, i will provide the correct answer in the incorrect dialog.

However, i'm still not clear about the results slide. If i have 5 quizzes (of 5 questions each), where each quiz follows a course objective (5 objectives), do i insert a results slide after each quiz? (5 results slides altogether in my course)

Hi Jeff,

You can choose to add a results slide after each quiz, or you can have just one results slide towards the end of your course - this design choice is entirely up to you and how you' like to design your course!

You can check out the following article to know more about how to use results slide in your course:
