Red "X"...in Storyline 1

I have a HUGE problem...which I hope...has a simple solution.
I have a Storyline project (with over 200 slides) that I have been working on for over a year.
As I was working on it, Storyline prompted me to save my work. I did so. But after I did, "ALL" of my slide "layer" info. (across the entire project) disappeared in the slide layer column. They were replaced by a large "Red X."
The "trigger" column on top is still there, it's just all of the "layer" information below it that is missing.
I've restarted SL, only to find that did not help. I even opened previous saved versions and they also have the "Red X"...with no visible slide layers.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks much!!!
Rand

Well, a few minutes after I wrote the above post, I received a Storyline "update" notice. After applying it and restarting (again)...the layers seem to be back. Not sure what the "bug" was (or what the "Red X" in the layer column is all about)...but I am grateful that it seems to be working now.
All the best to everyone in this great supportive community!
Hi Rand! Thanks for the update and happy to hear that your issue was resolved. I'm not sure what version you were on as our latest update simply addressed compatibility with Flash Player 16, but an update would have repaired your software as well.
I just had the same thing happen to me and I have the current version of Articulate 360. I restarted twice and still have the same red X where my layers used to be.
Hi Diane,
Are you seeing this red X in all your files, or one in particular?
I'd look first at importing it into a new file and check that you're adhering to the guidelines here to prevent odd behavior. If this happens on a lot of your files, I'd also suggest conducting a repair of Storyline which will provide a clean install.
Restarted my computer and it fixed the problem. Probably should say that someplace in your help information.
