Relative URLs to files

I have read that officially relative URLs are not supported in Storyline. However, I'm working at a company where there are a group of us developing modules in Storyline. We are working in Sharepoint, with all files located and can be accessed by each of us.

They way our network logins are set up, the absolute URL to files inserts our employee ID into it. This becomes a problem when someone else has to edit a Storyline file which contains links to files with an absolute URL. The second person may not be aware of the absolute URL, so when they publish, the link to the file is broken. This is because the employee ID is different to the person publishing the Storyline file.

Is there anyway this can be resolved, without getting too complicated?
