I have loaded a scorm file into our LMS, and LMS provides a launch link, however the first screen the user sees is a blank screen with a Launch button but this button is not from the LMS. We have unchecked the "launch player in new window (creates launch page) from the player properties. Does anyone know how to remove this button from appearing? I have attached a screen shot.
Are you viewing this on a desktop or a mobile device? You may want to test this in the SCORM Cloud to see how it is behaving there. Then you can look at the information here about troubleshooting your LMS.
Thank you, I tested in a SCORM cloud environment and still got the launcher button. I don't know why I'm seeing this extra page "launcher.html" instead of it directly opening course.
I am guessing you're seeing this in the mobile environment? If so, you may want to review this thread on ways in which to edit the launch page, but there isn't an option in Storyline to not included it.
I am using Articulate Storyline 2 and when I publish the course on Moodle, I first see a screen with a launch button and another screen just pop ups to load the course contents. Is there a way to disable the screen with launch button on Storyline. My client would like to just see the course load directly without the launch screen. And I am seeing this on my desktop and laptop. I have not tested it on iPad. Please help/guide.
Did you unchecked the "launch player in new window (creates launch page) from the player properties? In our LMS, we have a page the user clicks on to the launch the course. When I used sumtotal LMS and we launched a course, it went directly to the course.
The "launch player in new window" behavior can be controlled as a part of the player settings as detailed here. You may also want to check that there isn't a similar setting within Moodle just to be sure that they won't end up overriding your Storyline settings.
I don't know if Peter is still subscribed here, but you may want to look at some of the ideas shared in this discussion. They aren't something that Articulate can provide support for, but you'll often find help in the community.
There isn't a built-in way to remove the startup page for mobile as of yet, but I'm happy to share this feedback with the team! In the meantime, check out this discussion where folks discuss removing that page in Storyline 360. If you have questions about those modifications, asking fellow community members directly is the way to go!
