I have been attempting to remove the menu from the front page of the training. It must be something simple I am overlooking. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Hm, sounds like you're working in Storyline and have the Menu button unchecked under the Player Tabs settings.
If that's right, could you let me know what you have selected under Player Features in that particular slide's Slide Properties? Player Defaults will disable the Player Menu on that slide for good. ☺️

By the way - the sidebar menu button is not checked, yet the menu shows up
