I accidentally selected a design template that I don’t seem to be able to remove. And it has overridden many of my .story template characteristics (font, colour) etc. How do I undo the application of the design template?
If you haven't already made other changes to the file, you could also exit without saving. This would undo your work, and you'll see the correct template next time you open the file.

Do you still have access to the original template, or has it been overwritten with the new characteristics?
If you still have the original template, you could try importing that template into the current file.
