I am trying to make my slide background objects hidden to screen readers. I'm using a background that I chose from the ones available on the design tab, and I'm unable to find a place to modify it. The tab order screen is showing both a picture and shape on the slide master, but when I view the slide master, I cannot select either one to add alt text or to make it hidden from screen readers.
Do you have a link to the design set up that you're using so that we could take a look? Within the tab order set up were you able to modify the order or remove it from the ordering?
I chose the "Satin" theme from the design ribbon and added no other design formatting. I can remove the slide master elements from the tab order, but the button to remove it is greyed out.
To remove a slide master object from the custom tab order, you'll need to switch to Slide Master View (press F4). Right-click the object and choose Size and Position, then select the Alt Text tab and uncheck the visibility box.
