I've got a series of interactions; a lot of slides that adjust a variable, "myVar1." I need to duplicate those interactions, except some graphics will change and I need it to be a second variable.
A handy trick I use in Flash all the time: save it as another file, then rename the variable to "myVar2" then import that back into the original file--the renamed variable imports as a second var and the first interaction and var remain.
In Storyline, I save the new file and rename the variable, but when I import it back into my original file, the variable reverts back to myVar1. How can I prevent that from happening?
I'm not sure I totally understand what your process is...maybe I would have a better handle on it if you could share your .story file here or submit a Support case. That way we can test your files and see what is happening.
