In my "Try" scene, I would like people to use the Practice button to return to try again but the previous entries are still in. I set each slide in the scene to "Reset to initial state" but still the previous entries appear.
I'm not able to download your file at the moment (it's a me issue, not your attachment), but did you add a trigger at the beginning of the slide to set the text entry field to blank when the timeline starts? I'm assuming here that you are talking about text entry.
Thanks for sharing your file with us. To reset the text entry box when the user clicks the Try Again button, you'll need a trigger to adjust the variable to [blank] when the user clicks Try Again. For example, add this trigger to the Try Again button on Slide 3.1:
And one more quick tip: be sure this trigger is on top of the "Hide layer when user clicks the Try Again button." Let me know if this works!
Using your suggestion along with Derek's resolved the problem. I adjusted the variable to blank based on the timeline starting because I did not want them to click a Try again button on each slide in the practice. Thank you both.
