Resize text box after drop

We're using a new employee review tool, and I've been asked to create something that mirrors the product. The product has managers select a behavior, then drag and drop it into one of two boxes... strength or area of opportunity. The tool automatically resizes the behavior so that it fits in the new box. How can I recreate this? I've been trying to use the freeform option, but it simply moves the text, I can't find a way to resize it to the new area. I've attached a screen shot. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

You should be able to accomplish this by adding a new state to your text and/or drop shape. Alter the text size on this new state and then add a trigger to change the state of that text or shape to the new state when its dropped on your target.

Now if I could just get the drag and drop to work properly within a scrolling panel, I'd be a happy camper!
