Resized project acting weirdly

Jan 10, 2024

G'day,

I created a project, then needed to resize the project size to the wider option. However, now the text boxes and shapes (in states) aren't staying where they are put. They appear correct on the slide, but when you test them they move significantly. How do I fix this? It's like it's moving them to the width of the previous project. I've turned off locked aspect to see if this would make a difference but it didn't. Anyone experienced this previously?

Hello Janet,

Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue.

One troubleshooting step that you can try is to create a new Storyline 360 project, set your desired slide size, and then import your existing slides over to the newly created project file to see if this helps properly set the elements in your slides so that they don't move around during preview.

If this doesn't work for you, please share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can check what's causing the objects to move around during preview. We'll delete it when we're done testing!

Thanks Jose, I'll keep that in mind for next time. I managed to get it sorted but I had to delete images on the states and re add them. That fixed it.
