I am using a web api project to use tincan library and provide the articulate storyline 2 output for the user.
I dont know how I should use resume functionality, if I should send any thing to Get method of state api. I am returning stateid such as "resume" with Get method.
also want to know if by having the activity id till which the user has answered the questions, I can articulate file at that slide?
Hello Ati! This article describes the resume function of Storyline 2. The resume options are typically offered to a learner returning to a course without any additional setup from you, the course author.
After publishing for Tin Can API, are you hosting your output on an external server or in a learning management system?
I would check that resume data is being returned, I would also test in scormcloud to see if it resumes, if it does you know the problem is the connection to the LRS
on scorm cloud it works fine, I dont know how to implement State API, in the get method, sending registration, I can get previous state, but dont know which property of state I should return?
thanks alot. finally it worked. my problem was that I didnt have any idea about payload, but now I get it,store it and at the next Get from State Api retrieve it
to get the payload: StreamReader(HttpContext.Current.Request.InputStream).ReadToEnd()

Thanks for this information, Ati. This is an interesting conversation to have!
While I'm unfamiliar with the State API, I have a hunch that the insight shared in the related discussions here and here may help.
Also, a few folks in the community may have experience with this API and can hopefully assist with the setup. Keep us posted on your findings!
Thanks for reply. thats exactly my problem. but, unfortunately it does not have an answer!!
