It's also worth noting that the resume will bring you back to the slide, but for example if you're in the middle of a video it won't pick up where you left off in the video.
You could resume to the slide, but what you're going to see in terms of the layers may depend on how you set them up. You may want to share a copy of your .story file here so that folks can take a look at what you're setting up.
Can you also tell me why the Questions & Answers file is not shown in the top right corner? It shows when I view Project, but it does not show when I extract files.
Sorry we didn't get back to you on Friday, but I'm downloading your file to take a look at what you were describing to provide you with some additional insight.
Ok, it looks like you were linking to another file on your system as part of a player tab. Are you able to share that file with me as well so that I can test it? The first thing I would look at as well if removing the & character from the file name and path - as special characters are known to cause issues as detailed here. That article also reiterates the need to work on and publish local project files.
Hi Ashley, are you checking as well why it is not "Prompt to resume"? This was my original inquiry, and most important to this design. Thank you, Starr
Thanks for sharing the document. I updated it in your player and published it for LMS to place here on SCORM Cloud. The Question Answers link launches the Word document normally and I'm able to view it. It does download it, not open as a part of the browser but that's expected based on the document and set up.
As far as the prompt to resume, the state of the slide is only saved upon leaving the slide, so if you're returning to only this one slide using the prompt you'll see the slide as from the beginning.
The only change I made was to relink the file since I didn't have access to where the file was hosted on your system. I made sure that I downloaded it locally and that it didn't have the ampersand character and then just linked it into the copy of the .story file and published for LMS and uploaded to SCORM Cloud.
It won't save those elements unless you leave the slide entirely and then return to it with the slide properties set to "resume saved state" and the layer properties as well using the "resume saved state" element. The resume course wont' pick up at the exact moment you left off on the slide, just the slide's location in the course - so perhaps you may want to look at splitting the elements out among a few different slides if you want to ensure the user returns closer to the exact spot they left off.

What if it is only one slide and several layers?
Hi Starr,
You could resume to the slide, but what you're going to see in terms of the layers may depend on how you set them up. You may want to share a copy of your .story file here so that folks can take a look at what you're setting up.
Good idea, Thank you.

Hi Starr!
Looks like you've shared your zipped published output. Would you be able to share your actual .story project file for us to take a look at setup?
Okay, sure.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about my previous comments?

Okay. I have attached the file.

Can I have the .story file?
Thank you for all your help. I am reviewing the file now. :)
Hi Starr,

I made sure that I downloaded it locally and that it didn't have the ampersand character and then just linked it into the copy of the .story file and published for LMS and uploaded to SCORM Cloud.
The only thing is, it does not save the checks in Step 2. And when I exit, will it resume where I left off? Please tell me if I am missing something.
Hi Starr,
It won't save those elements unless you leave the slide entirely and then return to it with the slide properties set to "resume saved state" and the layer properties as well using the "resume saved state" element. The resume course wont' pick up at the exact moment you left off on the slide, just the slide's location in the course - so perhaps you may want to look at splitting the elements out among a few different slides if you want to ensure the user returns closer to the exact spot they left off.
Okay, thank you for that explanation.
